I believe the Philippines is a civilized society unfortunately, there are people who thinks otherwise and sees nothing wrong with defenseless citizens getting mauled by public officials with bodyguards. Is it about the benefits of siding with politicians especially the warlord type for health and longevity reasons or we are just so F%^$d up due to our subservient feudal nature? It is not a matter of whose side was credible but a public official who according to the De la Paz lawyer did not just stop the "brawl" but was even hurling invectives against the de La Paz is a sad reflection on the kind of public officials we have. The Pangandamans side of the story defies logic and it does not come as a surprise when lying is so prevalent and actually defines what GMA's administration is all about.
