I am not at all offended by Mr. Chip Tsao's piece entitled "War at Home". He is famous for his satirical work yes but this particular piece just revealed how ignorant and narrow minded this guy is. I pity him. And those who get offended by the column are most pitiful. As the Aztec Camera sings it "P-E-R-S-P-E-C-T-I-V-E".
We get offended because we all view domestic help as lowly menial job as something to be ashamed of. Nakakahiya.

People, we live in a global environment. We serve as domestics, nurses, construction workers. Nothing wrong with that at all. We work hard. We excel. We all have friends and relatives working their butts off everywhere in the world. I used to think of the high social cost of this phenomenon of Filipinos leaving the country to work abroad. But I finally recognized our role in the world. We are the new Israelites. This is just a phase for the Filipino to build his character. Forget about the Spratlys. We are not really territorial in nature. The whole world is our court. Eventually, we will own it.
