I am not at all offended by Mr. Chip Tsao’s piece entitled “War at Home”. He is famous for his satirical work yes but this particular piece just revealed how ignorant and narrow minded this guy is. I pity him. And those who get offended by the column are most pitiful. As the Aztec Camera sings it “P-E-R-S-P-E-C-T-I-V-E”.
We get offended because we all view domestic help as lowly menial job as something to be ashamed of. Nakakahiya.

People, we live in a global environment. We serve as domestics, nurses, construction workers. Nothing wrong with that at all. We work hard. We excel. We all have friends and relatives working their butts off everywhere in the world. I used to think of the high social cost of this phenomenon of Filipinos leaving the country to work abroad. But I finally recognized our role in the world. We are the new Israelites. This is just a phase for the Filipino to build his character. Forget about the Spratlys. We are not really territorial in nature. The whole world is our court. Eventually, we will own it.

chip tsao. few things i can say about him. first, maybe he’s one of those few in china who survived the SARS epidemic. maybe SARS did something to his noodle… Or maybe over exposure to high LEAD CONTENT on the paint used to color his toy, a barbie doll or what….. Or maybe hios not contented or cant believe that chinese products killed their kids due to the melamine content that he tested it himself… well he’s a bad ass he didnt die but the side effects are …hmmmm…..(you know what i mean…l)
after all mr. tsao. YOU ARE MADE IN CHINA!!!!!

Rage towards the columnist Chip Tsao was the emotion that filled me and then, Rage towards our government, towards the Filipino politicians who fill their pockets and bank accounts with money they get from who knows where…but corruption. The love of money is the root of all evil, the love of money is the root of our misery as a nation. If only we would have leaders who will LEAD and not STEAL from us, then there might be hope for us, then we might be able to provide jobs for the people, improve our education that gear us towards INNOVATION and not towards servitude, LEADERS who will not tolerate monopoly in business and in governance, who will ensure that Fiipino workers are paid in salaries that will make us think twice before getting jobs abroad, LEADERS who will support the FILIPINOS and not just their own families and their extended families. LEADERS who will bring us towards being A SELF SUFFICIENT COUNTRY and not rely on other countries to provide our bread and butter.

Lastly, I feel rage at myself for BEING HELPLESS. It is truly pitiful. But the idea is to fight and I don’t know how to start.
