When Ondoy hit Manila, almost everyone in the Philippins twitted and blogged about it; therefore making the international community be aware of the tragedy brought by Ondoy. However, sadly, I don’t see the same thing when Pepeng hit Northern Luzon. Less blogs, less twits. The Philippines became a trending topic in twitter I remember(when Ondoy hit Metro Manila and surrounding area). But come pepeng, the response was week.

To me, it’s not about if they donate money or physical materials. It’s the response that could make a bigger response. At the height of Ondoy devastation, even Hollywood celebrities were aware of Ondoy’s effect.

I am not angry at those affected by Ondoy. My heart goes out to them and I hope them the best. But what disappoints me is that the support shown for Ondoy victims wasn’t/isn’t shown for the victims of Pepeng. It’s like the North doesn’t exist. As if the North didn’t suffer the same.
