Who I Am
I am Marocharim. People call me all sorts of names based on different roles: social critic. Political commentator. Renegade intellectual. Activist. Radical.
Most importantly, I am a writer.
Writing is my profession. It is my passion. Writing is what I do for a living. It is my calling. Most importantly, I am my writing. Writing is my life.
People have called me a campus journalist - of many different sorts - in elementary school, high school, university, and in the workplace. While I have worked as a journalist before, I am not trained in journalism. All I know is that I have done the exact same thing for 23 years: writing. People will find it weird and absurd that I don’t do anything else in life except writing. There is no other thing I am willing to do in my life except what I do.
The Marocharim Experiment is exactly this: an experiment into writing about whatever can be written about.
